What is Generative AI?

Generative AI 🤖 empowers users to swiftly create content using diverse inputs 🎨. These models can take in various forms of data, such as text 📝, images 🖼️, sounds, animations 🎬, 3D models, and more, and generate specific outputs ✨. It's like having a versatile tool 🛠️ that can generate different types of creative content based on what you provide to it 🚀.

Unlike traditional AI models that are designed for specific tasks, generative AI is geared towards generating content that wasn't explicitly programmed into it. It leverages various techniques such as deep learning models, generative adversarial networks (GANs), and autoencoders to understand patterns in existing data and then produce novel outputs.

[Deep learning is like a smart student learning from examples. It uses deep neural networks, inspired by the brain, to understand and solve problems, especially in recognizing images or understanding language.

GANs are AI duos, a generator and a discriminator  – one generates new content, and the other evaluates it. Like creative partners, they work together, learning from existing data to produce realistic and novel outputs, such as images or text.

Autoencoders are like AI artists who learn to recreate input data. They have an encoder that compresses information and a decoder that reconstructs it. These compact models are used for tasks like image compression and feature learning.]

And you know what? Training these creative robots needs a lot of computer power, and that can be bad for the environment. Lastly, laws and rules about these creative robots are still figuring themselves out, making things a bit complicated.
